Art Philosophy

Art is usually the point of highest contrast in a room, so it’s what the eye finds first. That makes where it goes, and how large it is, as important as what it is.

I mix contemporary artists, vintage works, and sculpture, and I look as hard at the wall around a piece as at the piece itself. The goal is a room that feels collected, not decorated.

Art Consulting

I offer art consulting for homeowners and other designers. Since 2008 I’ve worked with artists and artisans, and I choose art to suit the architecture of the home.

Planning

I identify where art belongs in the architecture, then set scale, placement, and which piece leads.

Sourcing

I source through artists, galleries, and auction houses, and bring options tailored to each project.

Acquisition & Installation

I handle acquisition, framing, and installation, so each piece is hung with care and in proportion to its wall.
